Our Story
About IHDAC
Our Roots
Our Journey to Canada
- Founded to unite the Isoko diaspora in Canada
- Registered as a Canadian non-profit organization
- Established annual cultural preservation programs
- Launched community welfare and settlement support
The Isoko Heritage and Development Association of Canada (IHDAC) was founded on the principles of unity, cultural preservation, and socio-economic progress. We recognized the need for a unified voice for the Isoko diaspora in Canada — a platform to celebrate our identity, support our members, and contribute meaningfully to the Canadian multicultural mosaic while uplifting our communities back home in the Niger Delta.
Our members arrived through education, skilled immigration, family reunification, and the pursuit of better opportunities. IHDAC exists to ensure that no Isoko person in Canada has to make that journey alone.
To be the leading diaspora organization empowering Isoko people in Canada through cultural excellence and sustainable development.
